Whitewater rafting & a zipline of note!
During our stay in Salta, we also managed to get out into the beautiful surroundings and do a bit of whitewater rafting and ziplining(?). Now most of you will know I´m no adrenaline junkie but I decided before we left that I would not let my petty fear of heights get in the way of anything and I would try face my fear. Which I did as we zip-lined across a valley, 160m off the ground! I was clearly the most nervous person there but I decided not to think about it and even enjoyed the views as we zig-zagged our way down the valley. Robyn of course was the most excited person there and couldn´t wait to get hoooked in and go!
Neither of us have whitewater rafted before so we were both really keen to try it out, particularly because the rapids were a fairly mild grade 3 and perfect for beginners. Well it was brilliant and just an incredible experience to wind our way down the river with majestic mountains towering over us either side. The UNDOUBTED heroes of the day though, were the two dogs, a Golden retriever and black Labrador that sat in the boats with us as we negotiated some decent sized rapids, occasionally jumping out of the boats for a dip or when the felt like the company of people in another boat.

Sounds like fun. Zip lining and rafting don't mix though :)
